Hey Hello, I’m Lotte, one of the raft guides at Almlust. I’ve just finished my training and am full of energy and enthusiasm to make this rafting season unforgettable. During my training trips, I’ve already had many exciting adventures, such as rafting with a colorful group of children and adults.

Before the tour begins, I give the guests a comprehensive introduction in the form of a safety talk, where I explain what to expect and how everything works. Before the safety talk, some of the children were a bit anxious, but that quickly disappeared once we were on the water. We started in Mandling with an introduction to the basic rafting commands: all forward, all backward, and everyone into the boat!

After thoroughly practicing the commands, we tested our strength by maneuvering the boat to the shore. Soon, we reached the spot where the guests had the opportunity to swim in the wild water. After a thorough explanation and a bold example from me, everyone eagerly jumped into the water. It was such a thrilling experience that they wanted to swim again to fully enjoy it.

Our next adventure led us to a 2-meter-high waterfall. Here, the team had to work perfectly together to hit the optimal line and make it down safely. After this first thrill, a rocky labyrinth awaited us, which we could only navigate through precise teamwork and clear commands. The children executed the instructions flawlessly, and we effortlessly made it through this natural obstacle.

After the labyrinth, we took a short break to catch our breath before facing the next challenge: the impressive 5-meter-high waterfall in Schladming. The children got to sit at the front of the boat to have the best view and fully experience the thrill as the water surged over them. The excitement and adrenaline rush were indescribable, and the whole team was thrilled by the wild ride.

It was an incredibly cool tour with a fantastic team, and I can’t wait to experience many more exciting adventures this season. Here’s to many more unforgettable tours – I’m ready and super excited for it!
