My first days in the almlust

Coolest internship ever!

Hello, I'm Leonie, the summer intern at Almlust. I've been working here as a receptionist and climbing guide since 15 July. In this blog I write about my first days at Almlust.

My first day

The first day started with getting to know the whole team and getting an overview of the entire location. After that, I went straight to the small climbing garden with Len, where he explained the safety instructions and the basics of climbing to me once again.

Then we went up to the Almlustrock, over to the roof and from the roof with the Flying Fox to the large climbing garden. That was great fun! Len also showed me the bikes and explained how to book, hire and return them.

My second day

I was able to start my second day with Lotte and three guests with a very nice bike tour to the Marbachalm. Not only did I learn how to start and lead a bike tour, but I also got to know the surrounding area a bit.

Back at the Almlust, we continued with an introduction to the climbing garden and the Flying Fox for two guests before they were allowed to try it out. The next five guests then arrived and tackled the climbing garden after the introduction.

All good things come from above

Additional impressions

I am delighted with the warm atmosphere at almlust. The team took me in immediately and made me feel welcome. I was particularly impressed by the variety of tasks. There's something new to learn and experience every day, whether it's climbing, cycling or interacting with guests.

The beautiful surroundings also play a big part in making me feel so at home here. The mountains, the fresh air and the many outdoor activities make every day a little adventure.

I am already looking forward to the coming weeks and am excited to see what else I will experience and learn. Stay tuned for more updates from my internship at almlust!

Best regards,

Leonie
